We couldn’t have said it better!
The amount of rain that fell in Texas and Louisana in the last week is unfathomable to most people. 27 trillion gallons of water fell during the six days Harvey was over the region. Some areas received more than 50 inches of rain. Over 35,000 homes have been destroyed, and tens of thousands of people are in shelters waiting for the rest of that water to recede.
You can help! We all need to pull together and help out where we can.
The American Red Cross has been on the ground in Houston since the start of the storm and has organized relief efforts in the area. Click HERE to donate to the Red Cross.
A Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund has been established by the Greater Houston Community Foundation. The fund was started to accept tax-deductible donations that will be used in Houston and the surrounding areas.
The United Way of Greater Houston always has disaster funds available, but is concerned that Hurricane Harvey’s destruction will tax its resources very quickly.
Every dollar helps!
